Di origini tardo settecentesche e ricavato nella preesistente ex chiesa dedicata a San Filippo Neri, il Teatro Apollo, completamente rinnovato nel 1887 è nel suo genere, un autentico gioiello che il recente restauro ha restituito al suo antico splendore. Inizialmente gestito dall’Accademia del Teatro, fu particolarmente attivo nell’800 e nella prima metà del 1900. Di notevole suggestione per l’armonia degli spazi e l’eleganza delle decorazioni floreali a festoni, racemi d’acanto e grottesche, esaltate dal bellissimo soffitto a velario con putti danzanti in circolo intorno ad Apollo. Il teatro ha riacquistato oggi la sua importante funzione culturale e sociale non solo nell’ambito della comunità mondaviese

Apollo Theater Of late eighteenth-century origins and housed in the pre-existing former church dedicated to San Filippo Neri, the Apollo Theater, completely renovated in 1887, is an authentic jewel of its kind that the recent restoration has returned to its former glory.
